Learning more about college!

Today we had a college fair. There were some awsome workers from OSU and from Corvallis town that made time for us to learn more about College. People from other Universities also came, Uof O, WOU and EOU were part of them. they all had a chance to talk about their schools and then we had had the chance to go to their own little stations and ask them questions. Later on tonight we will be doing a talent show and i wish we would have time to put pictures but since tomorrow's our last day so that won't be able to happen, but memories last forever so I'll always have them with me. I just want to say that everybody involved in this camp, not only students but the staff and everyone that spent their time with us has made this my most fun and interesting summer. I now have things more clear about college and what i want for myself so thank you so much OMLI!!

Monday, challenge course Alejandra

Today we went to the challenge course. I was excited I didn't really now if I was afraid of heights or not. I was willing to do every challenge. I volunteered to go first at the beginning I felt really nervous when I got on top of the pole I felt really nervous. for a minute I thought I saw ants. At the end I made it I was really proud of myself. I did all the challenges I happy I couldn't believe that I actually made it.

Waves; Stefania

Today we got learn about a lot of stuff. My favorite was the tsunami place. the waves looked so real. Also today we are going tobe doing the talent show, I think were going to be ok.

This is it, Gustavo

This is it. Our time in the institute is almost over. The memories and friends will never be forgotten and the lessons will remain with us for the rest of our lives. I extremely sad that this time will really be my last because I know for sure I will not be coming back to the institute. I am happy however that I am about to enter a new journey in my life. Hopefully I will be coming back to OSU as a student and not just a guest. My experiences here have been some of the best and I will never forget the time I spent here. Thank you to everyone for giving me one of the best times of my life.

Creo que estos tipos de programas ademas de darnos la oporunidad de aprender cosas nuevas, nos deja una bonita experiencia a cada uno de nosotros. Estas experiencias mos dejan bonitos recuerdoa y nuevos amigos. Cada dia que pase aqui me diverti mucho, Creo que nunca habia hecho tantas cosas en un solo dia jejeje...psaron tantas cosas tan divertidas que en esos momentos no podia parar de reir. Gracias por darnos la oprtunidad de poder expeimentar y aprender cosas nuevas. = )

Reser's Stadium

Today was a fun day. I was extremely anxious to go to the Reser's stadium, and we finally got the chance to go before departing to New Port. I really liked the stadium and i hope i get to come for one of the OSU football games. i got to pose for a picture with the girls from the camp, I'm the one with the black cardigan. We all had a great time at the New Port Aquarium. We looked at the seals, octopus and even a big anaconda, which even though it was in a secured case, i couldn't avoid feeling scared. At the beach we made a pyramid that took us a little while to accomplish but at the end we DID IT, that's team work!! Also, we had a volleyball game that went great. It was a wonderful day and the weather was really nice i'd like t say it was a really fun day, but not even the word fun would be enough to describe it.

On Wednesday we went on a trip. We went to the Newport Aquarium. We got to look around and see the fishes in the ocean. After that we went to the OSU marine center (I think that's what it's called?). We got to see a lot of animals that live in the ocean. After that we went to the ocen. the water was so cold! The sun was out so it was ok. We played lots of games, and we even saw a seal sleeping. It was adorable!

Working for a common purpose, Gustavo

Today we had the opportunity to put our new learned knowledge to test. We used all the skills we learned to complete two very interesting task. One involving a bridge an another involving a very unfortunate egg. Our teamwork and communication skills were tested the most.I have to admit that not even I was perfect at achieving the common purpose we were working for. I believe our groups did an amazing job and I am proud of everyone because they contribute something new and exciting to the table!
